Please, Ma'am, is this New Zealand?

through the air! Do you think you could manage it?)" ~ Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in

Well...lets see were to begin. I
went to Norway
and it was amazing! This has been my favorite trip by far. We first went to Oslo where we got a train to Bergen. From Bergen me and my fellow adventure Todd went
to the world famous Fjord’s. For all of those who don’t know what a Fjord is, it’s
a mountainous reign that has been formed from icebergs. So in the middle of
these great mountains lies a great river way craved out by icebergs. Well the
after doing that all day we then took the train back to Oslo and spent the day there looking a art,
parks and learning more about life. (pics are below) When coming home though I had
to get back to work on my big paper for class, learn about everything that we
did in Greek class the day I missed, and study for Humanities test. I am glad
to report I am done! I finished the first copy of my paper about any hours ago
and too my test yesterday (which I think I did ok on). Greek is Greek but I am understanding
it. My paper was over Christianity and Poverty…it was a lot fun to write about.
I still need a little more info but I am 6 pages down…I might go for more…but I
am sure you a so interested about that. Ok I am going to get on my soap box for
sec…because I really want to say something.
The Christians that are aware of
the Poverty Issues in the US
are trying everything to make it more known to the people of the world but
mainly the United States.
The UK
is already doing this a lot better with its “melting pot” of organizations
joining together. US Christian groups and organizations have a hard time with
joining forces with other organizations that aren’t “Christian”. This makes the
statistic of the number of churches involved with the movement in the US vs. the UK, not even comparable to each
other. The United Kingdom
churches are willing to get involved with Jew, Muslims, and Atheist to show
love to the world and do its job in taking care of the poor. That wouldn’t fly
in most US
churches, that situation splits churches.
Just something to think about.
“Today 1.3 billion people live in
extreme poverty. Tonight 800 million people will go to bed hungry. This year 12
million children will die before their fifth birthday. At the start of a
century of unprecedented wealth, we reject a world where such suffering exists amid
such plenty…Hope is
about doing, not dreaming. It makes things change.” ~ Christian Aid
Happy Halloween!!...well it’s a little late but just by a
few hours. Anyways I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and I hope you all
had costumes. Last night I got to go to the Sufjan Stevens concert in London. It was so
amazing! It was an acoustic show on Halloween, a very rare event. If you don’t
know who Sufjan Stevens is I suggest going out and picking up a CD, start with “Seven
Swans” very mellow and acoustic like. If you have picked up the new David
Crowder Band CD “A Collision” then you already know one of Sufjan’s songs “Oh
God Where are You Know” Crowder covered it, (which I might add, He did a very
good job) So check him out! Now I have a lot of homework and a MEGA…HUGE…Rather
LARGER paper do in a couple of week and I haven’t started on. And on top of
that I am going to Norway
this weekend, which will be fun…but it adds to the stress because going gives
me less time to work on it. BUT onward to Norway. YEAH…I need to run….but
have a good day my friends…Change the World today!

your teaching. Don't be diverted. Just keep at it. Both you and those who hear

Long time no writing…sorry! A lot has happen since France. My
parents came into town for a couple of days so that was really cool. We went up
to Scotland
and drove around up there for a few days. Then I came back to good ol’Oxford.
That Monday a couple of us went to the world premier of Tim Burton’s Corpse
Bride. We got to see Tim and shake his hand it was really cool. Then I had
class…I don’t like class. We had a full week off and had to go to class for 2
days then we had Friday off. Then on Thursday (the 20th) Todd and I decided
to go backpacking through Wales
for the weekend. It was amazing! (Scroll to see pics) The first night we walked
12 miles to the next town to camp out by the coast. We got there and couldn’t
find anywhere to go…so we decided to pitch our tent on the side of the road and
camp there for the night; it was 2am by this time. We awoke to the sounds of
hard rain and cars flying by. We packed up and walked back into town for breakfast.
We then catch the bus to St. David, the place where we had been heading all
night long but was to far to walk. We spent the day in St. David hanging out in
the Cathedral and walking about town. The next morning was amazing we finally
made it to the coast of St. David and it was
one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. We spent most of the day
there and then headed back to Oxford.
Now this week is going to eat me alive. I have so much homework it is ridicules.
But I plan to make it through. So I will write back soon…have a great week!
